I recently moved my PC under my desk to make room for a second monitor and a dual-monitor arm. Since moving it, the Wi‑Fi connection has become extremely unreliable and sometimes much slower than before. The PC can't go back on top of the desk, and its current antenna is already sitting on the desk. What are some good ways to restore the signal and speed?

If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection. A fixed desktop usually gets a much more stable connection that way, and the speed can be dramatically better than Wi‑Fi.
Check that the existing antenna cables are screwed in securely. Another option is a USB Wi‑Fi adapter connected through a USB extension cable, which lets you position the adapter and antenna in a clearer spot. Keep the antenna in front of or above the monitors rather than behind them if possible.
Try a remote antenna with a 3- or 4-foot cable. You can connect it to the antenna ports on the back of the PC and place it somewhere above or away from the desk, where the signal isn’t blocked by the computer or other equipment.

That makes sense. I’ll try repositioning the antenna first and check the connections before buying another adapter.
