I've got a bulky Acer PC that really heats up my room after about 30 minutes of gaming. My air conditioning doesn't help much because the thermostat is in another room, and during winter, I could just crack a window, but that's not an option in the summer.
I'm considering getting a standalone AC unit that vents through my door since my window can't accommodate any standard models. I'd love to hear what solutions you've found for keeping a room cool while gaming. Thanks in advance!

The best way to deal with this is to think about decentralizing the heat source. If you can’t effectively vent the heat out of your room, you may want to consider moving the PC to a different space. That could be the simplest way to cool things down.
Using a box fan can really help with air circulation. You can also look at improving the efficiency of your setup. I doubt venting the AC through your door will work that effectively. Is there absolutely no way your windows can open? There are some units designed to work with windows that don’t open wide, which could be worth checking out.
I hear you on the door thing—keeping it shut is important. I'm also maxing out my PC for other tasks besides gaming, but I’m looking into other ideas, too. I was thinking about crafting a custom exhaust attachment for a portable AC to fit under the door, but that could be a little impractical.
