I'm accustomed to using VB VoiceMeeter, which allows me to hear my voice in real-time to ensure everything functions correctly before I start recording. I'm now on Linux Mint and I'm wondering if there's any way to achieve real-time audio monitoring similar to what I did before?

You could consider switching to an XLR mic for better real-time monitoring. Just curious, how were you managing to get real-time audio before? With a USB mic, did you have just a slight delay? Also, does your virtual audio cable work for this purpose?

The FIFINE K688 has an XLR cable adapter, but I typically use a USB adapter. Before switching to Linux, I was on Windows 10 with VB-Audio VoiceMeeter. It allowed me to make adjustments and hear those changes live, which was super helpful for testing before I recorded.
