I spilled apple juice on my laptop and pressed the power button right away, but I'm not sure whether it shut down or only entered sleep mode. The main power light is off, although another indicator light near the side is still on. How can I completely turn it off without powering it back on?

A slowly blinking power light usually indicates sleep, while no main power light may mean it is already off. However, some laptops still draw a small amount of power in standby, so unplug the charger and avoid turning it on again.
