I'm trying to limit my screen time and want to prevent myself from connecting to the internet for a while. Is there a package or system component I can disable on CachyOS so Wi‑Fi won't work? I'd prefer a reversible solution that takes enough effort to undo, rather than permanently deleting the drivers.

If you’re using KDE on CachyOS, you can configure the firewall to drop or block both incoming and outgoing connections. Changing that setting back requires your sudo password, so it’s more deliberate than simply clicking the Wi‑Fi toggle. Just remember that this blocks all network traffic, not only wireless connections.
You can disable the network service or adapter instead of removing driver files. Removing NetworkManager might stop the usual graphical network controls, but it can also affect other networking tools and make troubleshooting harder. Removing packages such as wireless utilities alone usually won’t remove the kernel driver or reliably prevent Wi‑Fi.
I was mainly looking for something that’s possible and difficult enough to undo that I won’t immediately turn it back on.
Don’t delete the Wi‑Fi drivers. A better option is to disable the adapter in your BIOS or UEFI settings. The exact steps depend on your motherboard, but turning it back on later requires enough effort to act as a useful pause. It also won’t interfere with normal system or driver updates once you re-enable it.
