I'm trying to mirror my OnePlus 13 phone to a projector connected to my Denon receiver. I purchased an HDMI to USB-C cable, but it's not working as expected. My phone keeps showing a notification that it's attempting to connect, but I'm not getting any picture on the projector and it says there's no signal. I'm looking for some troubleshooting tips or alternative methods to get this set up without having to buy a Chromecast, since I already own an Apple TV.

It sounds like your HDMI to USB-C cable might be unidirectional, meaning it only works in one direction. Some phones also don't support DisplayPort Alt Mode, which is necessary for video output. You should check if your OnePlus 13 supports this or consider using a different method to connect.
Yeah, I bought the JSAUX USB C to HDMI cable, so I’ll look into that.
Actually, the OnePlus 13 doesn’t support display output over the USB-C port. That might be your main issue here. You might want to double-check the specs or see if there’s any software update that could help.
Are you sure about that? I've heard it does support DisplayPort Alt Mode from some sources.
I’m curious how the receiver fits into this. Is your phone plugged into the receiver or directly to the projector? If it's the former, try connecting your phone right to the projector or another HDMI device. The receiver could be the problem if that’s where the connection is made.

So unidirectional is the term? I guess that explains a lot. How can I tell if the cable supports DP Alt Mode or not?
