How can I play CS2 and other games in 4:3 stretched mode on my laptop?

I've been gaming on my laptop and comfortably played CS2 in 4:3 stretched mode for about 500 hours. However, recently when I launched CS2, I encountered black bars on the sides, and now this issue persists in every game I try. I have a laptop with both NVIDIA and Intel graphics. What solutions can I try to fix this?

You might want to check your NVIDIA Control Panel settings. Make sure that the image scaling is set to "full screen" and that you've overridden any scaling settings of other programs. That should help eliminate those black bars when using 4:3 stretched mode!

That's a bummer! Sometimes laptops miss certain options in the NVIDIA Control Panel, especially when switching between integrated and dedicated graphics. If you can't find the scaling settings, you might want to try adjusting the resolution settings within the game itself or see if there's a specific hotkey for fullscreen mode.
