I'm in a bit of a bind here. I have an RTX 3080 Ti Suprim X and a Thermaltake 1650W PSU, but I only have two PCIe cables available. Is there a safe way to set it up with these cables?

Your PSU is pretty solid, and using one of those pigtailed cables should work just fine. Just connect one cable to one of the GPU's PCIe slots and use the pigtailed end for the other slot. It's designed to handle this kind of setup, so you should be good to go!

To power your 3080 Ti safely, check how many plugs you need. Each PCIe plug is rated for about 150W, but if your cables have 2 plugs each, you should be fine with two cables. Just make sure not to overload it! But if you're still unsure, consider getting another cable just to be safe.

It's tempting to try jerry-rigging things, but definitely think twice about using cables that aren’t specifically designed for your PSU. Using cables from a different PSU model could lead to some serious risks, like a fire hazard! If you can, grab an extra cable for peace of mind.
