How Can I Recover From a Failed Linux Mint Kernel Update?

I'm new to Linux Mint and tried installing an available update while connected through a mobile hotspot. The connection briefly dropped during the installation, and the process was interrupted. Since then, the computer shows a kernel panic during startup. I can only get the system working by restarting, choosing the manual boot options, and selecting the older 6.4-series kernel that I was already using. The newer update no longer appears normally. What's the safest way to repair or undo the incomplete kernel update?

If you created a Timeshift snapshot before the update, the simplest recovery is to boot from a Linux Mint installation USB and restore the system from that snapshot. A snapshot from the previous day may still be useful if the broken update happened afterward, so it’s worth checking before giving up. If no suitable snapshot exists, boot the working older kernel and repair or reinstall the interrupted kernel packages from there.

I’ll look into restoring from Timeshift. I do have a snapshot from the previous day, although I wasn’t sure whether it would be usable.
