I've been really frustrated with OneDrive and I'm ready to get rid of it. However, I have a lot of important files that are synced to OneDrive, and I want to make sure I don't lose anything when I do this. What's the best way to remove OneDrive while keeping all my important data safe?

Before you take any steps to delete OneDrive, make sure all your important files are backed up on your computer or an external hard drive. You could also transfer them to a flash drive just to be safe. Once everything is backed up, you can go ahead and uninstall OneDrive without worrying about losing anything.

A good approach is to clone your OneDrive content to a hard drive first. Itโ€™s really important to have a safe backup before making any major changes. This allows you to freely delete OneDrive without the risk of data loss.

If you want to keep your existing files but stop syncing with OneDrive, consider just ceasing to use it instead of fully deleting it. You could keep everything that's already synced, just donโ€™t add new files to it. Just a heads up, thoughโ€”if it's messing with your Sims game, prioritizing fixing that issue might be a good call!
