How Can I Reset My PC When Nothing Works?

I'm trying to reset my old PC after it went through a major failure, but I can't seem to do it. The system is practically unusable—most of the files are corrupted, and Windows won't let me upgrade to the latest version. I've attempted various reset options, like booting in safe mode and using a USB stick to create a clean installation, but each time I hit a wall with error messages. I've tried running commands like 'sfc /scannow' and 'DISM', but they haven't worked either. I feel like I'm at a standstill and might even consider switching to Linux if all else fails. Any suggestions on how to breathe life back into this PC?

I found this video that might help out: [USB Windows Installation Guide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTDbHgs9dHk). There are plenty of guides out there, so if that one doesn't work for you, just search for more! Also, if your PC is older, Windows 11 might not be compatible, so keep that in mind.

Given that your files were already corrupted, there's a possibility that your storage drive might be failing. You should consider replacing the drive and then install Windows via the USB. It should solve a lot of these issues.

Using a USB stick is definitely the right move here, especially since your system seems pretty corrupted. Make sure you're booting directly from the USB during installation. If it's still failing, check if your hardware is compatible. You could also try creating the USB using RUFUS alongside a Windows ISO to bypass any hardware checks. Just remember, this might not guarantee stability, but it could get you back up and running!

Yeah, I'd second that. Double-check your BIOS settings too, just in case something's off there.
