How can I safely remove my GPU when there’s no space to reach the clip?

I recently upgraded my GPU and now I'm trying to install some additional fans. However, I'm having trouble unplugging the GPU because I can't reach the clip to take it out of the socket. The CPU cooler is really close to the GPU, leaving only about a 2mm gap. I was wondering if there's a way to safely get the GPU out without damaging anything. Also, I considered removing the left fan from the CPU cooler for better access, but I'm also having difficulty with that. Any tips would be appreciated!

One trick I use is to take a chopstick or the eraser end of a pencil and gently push the clip down. It doesn't damage the components and gives you better leverage.

I totally agree! The pencil eraser is perfect because it's soft and won't hurt anything if you slip.

Just to clarify, I can't share a photo, but my setup is super cramped with a Noctua cooler that has basically no gap between the GPU and cooler, making it really tricky.

If you want to go for a more technical approach, some people recommend using a small screwdriver to gently tap the latch. Just be extremely cautious not to touch any other components on the board, but it can definitely work in tight spots.

I think the pencil idea is safer, since it won't damage anything if it slips. Better to play it safe!
