I'm looking to sell my app to someone who's interested, but I really want to maintain some influence over its future development. How can I ensure I don't get the short end of the deal? Is it possible to negotiate being part of the developer team and having a voice in how the app evolves?

If you're selling the app entirely, it's really important to include any desire to stay involved in the contract. Just keep in mind, asking for a say in development might lower the app’s value since it complicates things for the buyer.

You could always go the Software as a Service (SaaS) route, which might give you more control over how the app is used in the long run. If you sell it directly, though, you’ll likely need to relinquish that control.
