I recently got a new AOC 27" gaming monitor for Christmas (merry Christmas, everyone!) and it claims to have a 240Hz refresh rate. However, in the settings, I can only select up to 120Hz. How can I adjust the settings to achieve the maximum refresh rate?

It sounds like you're likely using an older version of an HDMI cable. To run at 240Hz, make sure you're using an HDMI 2.1 cable or switch to a DisplayPort cable, which is generally better for high refresh rates.
I've seen similar issues with other monitors not hitting max refresh rates due to faulty cables or outdated graphics drivers. It might also help to check if there's a setting on the monitor itself that needs to be enabled for a higher refresh rate. By the way, what graphics card are you using?
I've got a laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 4050.
First off, what type of cable are you using to connect your monitor? If you're using an HDMI cable, that might be your issue. Some older HDMI cables can't support 240Hz. If you have a DisplayPort cable, I recommend trying that instead for better compatibility.
I'm using the HDMI cable that came with the monitor.

Okay, thanks for the tip!
