I'm trying to figure out how to create a dedicated 5GHz band on my EE broadband connection. I want my PS Portal to always connect to the 5GHz band without switching between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Is there an easy way to do this?

If your router supports 5GHz, the simplest way to do this is by accessing your router settings. From there, you can set up two separate SSIDs: one for the 2.4GHz band and another for the 5GHz band. This way, you can connect your devices to the 5GHz network permanently.

Yeah, I can confirm that splitting the signals into different SSIDs really helps. It's pretty straightforward to get to the router settings—just type your router's IP address into a browser, log in, and go to the wireless settings. You'll see options to differentiate the bands.
