I have a NAS running Docker, currently with Jellyfin, and I'd like to add a Minecraft Bedrock server. Docker itself is already installed and working, but I'm having trouble understanding how to configure the container, start the server, store its data, and connect to it from Minecraft. I'm looking for simple, step-by-step instructions written for someone who isn't very experienced with Docker.

Since Docker is already running Jellyfin, you don’t need to reinstall it. The basic process is to create a new folder for the Bedrock server, define a separate container in a Docker Compose file, map the server’s data directory to that folder, publish the Bedrock port, and start the container. After it finishes creating the world, connect using the NAS’s local IP address and the Bedrock server port.
A straightforward option is to use the Minecraft Docker image documentation and follow the Docker Compose example. For Bedrock, the container needs to be configured for the Bedrock edition, then you can set the server name, game mode, difficulty, ports, and a host folder for persistent world data. Compose is usually easier than typing a long docker run command because the settings stay in one readable file.
Crafty Controller is another possibility. It provides a web interface for managing game servers and can make starting, stopping, configuring, and viewing the console easier than working entirely from the command line. Check that the version you choose supports Bedrock and that the required UDP port is exposed through Docker and your network.
The important detail is where the server is being hosted. In this case it’s a NAS running Docker, so the setup instructions should focus on creating the container there rather than installing Docker itself on a computer.
