How can I set up two monitors with my laptop and docking station?

Hey everyone,

I recently bought a second monitor to pair with my laptop using a thunderbolt docking station. I had everything running smoothly with my original monitor, but now I'm stuck trying to get the second monitor to work along with it. Honestly, I'm really confused and frustrated because when I try to connect them, neither monitor responds. I'd appreciate any tips or advice on what I could be missing or doing wrong. Even the smallest detail would help—thanks a lot!

First things first, are you sure your laptop actually has Thunderbolt support? Plus, how many USB-C ports do you have? Don’t forget that the type of USB-C cable you use can make a difference too. It sounds like you're missing some details like what model your laptop and dock are, and whether you're connecting via HDMI or DisplayPort.

Thanks for the input! So my laptop is an HP ZBook Firefly, and I have two USB-C ports that I think should work. The dock has "thunderbolt" written on it, and I'm using HDMI to connect both monitors.
