How can I simplify setting up quick websites without overengineering?

I'm a fairly experienced software developer but I often find myself overthinking and overengineering simple projects. Whenever a friend or relative asks me for a quick website, I get stuck diving deep into all the tech options—backend stacks, hosting choices, serverless versus EC2, and even domain pricing. I have experience with Python and Spring Boot, but I'm looking to find a tech stack that allows me to set up a simple storefront in just a day or two, like what students in Pakistan can achieve affordably on Fiverr or Upwork. I've never used platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WordPress professionally. Any advice on how to keep things straightforward and efficient?

Why not consider checking out platforms like Shopify or WordPress? They’re perfect for simple websites and can save you a lot of time. You might be surprised how much you can get done with them without needing to dive deep into backend details.

I’m looking for personal experiences with those platforms. How do they integrate with full-stack solutions including domain setup and hosting?
