I accidentally used my friend's phone number to sign in to an online store while my browser was signed in to my Google account. Since then, my email address appears automatically in email fields when my friend uses his own phone number to sign in on various websites. His account still shows his correct number, so we suspect this may be browser autofill or synced account data rather than an actual link between our accounts. How can we remove my email from the saved suggestions and keep our login information completely separate?

On Chrome, open Settings, then Autofill and Password Manager, and remove the saved email address or form entry. You can also use the option to clear browsing data and include autofill form data. Repeat this on any other browser or device where the suggestion appears, especially if browser sync is enabled. Avoid logging into your Google account on your friend’s device afterward, or use a guest/private browsing profile instead.
Check the profile settings on each affected website as well. If your email was submitted during the original login or registration, it may have been saved to that site’s account profile. Remove or replace it there, and clear the site’s cookies afterward. If the email only appears as a selectable suggestion before anything is submitted, it is almost certainly local browser autofill rather than the websites linking the accounts.
This is probably saved browser autofill or Google-synced form data, not a permanent connection between your email and your friend’s phone number. On the device where it happens, open the browser’s autofill or personal-information settings and delete the saved email entry. Also check whether Chrome or another browser is signed in to your Google account and syncing autofill data. Sign out of your account on your friend’s device or disable autofill synchronization there, then clear cookies and site data for the affected websites.

His account still displays his own number, but my email appears in the email field on several sites whenever he logs in with that number. I’ll check the browser’s saved autofill and synced data first.
