How Can I Stop My iPhone From Automatically Connecting to My Roommate’s TV?

Whenever I open Bluetooth on my iPhone to connect my headphones, it automatically connects to my roommate's TV instead. I can't figure out how the TV became associated with my phone, and there's no blue info icon next to it, so I don't have the usual option to forget or remove the device. I also checked the Bluetooth settings on the TV and the other TVs in the house, but none show my phone as a paired device. How can I stop this from happening?

Also check whether the TV is appearing through AirPlay or another nearby-device feature rather than regular Bluetooth pairing. If it only shows up when you open the audio output or Control Center, disable automatic AirPlay connections or set them to Ask, then select your headphones manually.

If the normal forget option never appears, reset the iPhone’s network settings as a last resort. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This removes saved Wi‑Fi networks and Bluetooth connections, so you’ll need to pair your headphones again, but it should clear any stuck device association.

Normally, a paired Bluetooth device can be removed by opening Settings > Bluetooth, tapping the info icon next to it, and choosing Forget This Device. If the TV doesn’t show that icon, it may not actually be saved as a paired Bluetooth device. Try restarting the iPhone and TV, then turn Bluetooth off and back on before pairing your headphones again.

That’s the problem—the TV appears in the list, but there’s no info button beside it, so I can’t choose Forget This Device.
