I've been feeling really anxious lately because I accidentally leaked some of my Gmail and old passwords after clicking a link from a friend's hacked account. My friends say I shouldn't worry too much since I'm using MacOS, and I've changed all my passwords and enabled two-factor authentication for my accounts that I can remember. However, I received a threatening message from the hacker through my friend's Instagram, and it's making me really scared. This is the first time something like this has happened to me, and I'm looking for tips on additional security measures to take. I really don't want to delete all my social media accounts!

If you’ve changed your passwords to new ones that you've never used before and turned on two-factor authentication, you're typically in a good spot. Just make sure that all your accounts, especially the important ones, have strong, unique passwords.
You're probably fine! Just stay vigilant and make sure your accounts are secure. If you ever feel uneasy, consider using a password manager or checking for any unusual activity on your accounts.
Thanks! But are there any other ways I can check for issues? I’m a pretty paranoid person, and I can't sleep because of this harassment from them.

Thank you! I'm just really on edge because they messaged me on Instagram, laughing about having some info on my Apple account and email, even though I never fully logged in to those accounts. They did log into my Instagram, but I've removed that account, changed my passwords, and enabled two-factor authentication.
