How can I transfer all my data from an OPPO A54 to a Samsung Galaxy A73?

I recently received a Samsung Galaxy A73 from a family member and want to move everything from my OPPO A54 to it. The OPPO currently has about 108 GB of data stored, while the A73 has 256 GB of storage, so space shouldn't be an issue. I tried Samsung Smart Switch, but it appeared to say that only around 60 GB would be transferred. Is there a way to move the rest of my files as well, possibly by copying them to a computer first and then transferring them directly to the Samsung? The Galaxy A73 has already been factory-reset through its settings.

That 60 GB figure may be an estimate of the data Smart Switch can identify or transfer, rather than a strict maximum. Make sure the A73 is fully set up as a clean device, then try Smart Switch again using a USB cable instead of Wi-Fi. A wired transfer is usually faster and more reliable for a large amount of data.

I already performed the factory reset from the phone’s settings. I’ll try using a cable and check whether the number is just an estimate.

Yes, you can use a computer as an intermediate step. Connect the OPPO to the computer, choose File Transfer, and copy important folders such as DCIM, Pictures, Movies, Music, Download, Documents, and Android media folders. Then connect the Samsung and copy those files to it. This handles personal files, but it won’t transfer app data, logins, text messages, or settings as completely as Smart Switch, so use Smart Switch for those parts where possible.

So I can copy the files from the OPPO to my laptop and then paste them onto the Samsung, while using Smart Switch for the apps and other phone data?

Before transferring anything, confirm that the Samsung really was erased and is not still linked to the previous owner’s accounts. Also check the storage breakdown on the OPPO—some of the 108 GB may be cached app data or files that cannot be copied directly. Back up photos and videos separately, then verify that everything opens correctly on the A73 before deleting anything from the old phone.
