How Can I Unblock Chrome on My Windows 11 PC?

When I try to open Google Chrome on my Windows 11 desktop, I get the message "This app has been blocked by your system administrator." The computer belongs to me and is used at home, and I haven't knowingly changed any settings. What could cause this, and how can I safely restore access to Chrome?

First, confirm that this is actually your personal PC and not one managed by a workplace, school, or family-safety account. If it is your own computer, the block may have been caused by a security policy, antivirus software, or malware. Check Windows Security and your installed security programs for blocked-app notifications, run a full malware scan, and look for recently installed programs or policy changes. Avoid disabling security protections blindly; if the restriction remains, reinstalling Chrome from its official website or using Windows System Restore to a point before the problem started may help.

MellowPine42: Itโs my own desktop at home, so there shouldnโt be an organization managing it. Iโll check Windows Security and recent changes first.
