Hi everyone, I've had my custom-built PC for about four years now, and I've noticed it's starting to slow down. I'm not very experienced with building PCs, so I'm looking for advice on where to start with upgrades. Here's my current setup:
- **GPU:** ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 OC Edition 12GB
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 2700X - 3.7GHz 8-Core, 16 threads
- **Cooler:** Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi Single Tower with 120 mm Fan and RGB
- **Motherboard:** MSI B450 TOMAHAWK
- **RAM:** CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200
- **Storage:** 250GB Crucial SSD (System), 2TB Crucial MX500, 1TB Western Digital HDD Caviar Black
- **PSU:** EVGA 650W Supernova 650 G5
- **Cooling:** 4x Corsair ML120 Pro LED 120 mm, 2x Corsair ML140 Pro LED 140 mm
- **Case:** Fractal Design Meshify C
What should I focus on upgrading first to improve performance and smooth out my gaming experience? Thanks!

Try reinstalling Windows first; sometimes a fresh install can work wonders. If you're on the lookout for upgrades, a 5700X3D might be a good choice—just don’t spend more than $220 on it if you can help it!
Consider upgrading to a 5800XT—this will give your system a significant boost and make it feel brand new. After that, if your budget allows, look into the 9060 XT 16GB or 9070 for even better performance. Just make sure to update your motherboard’s BIOS before you install a new CPU!
Thank you for the tips! I'll definitely keep that in mind.
To give you better advice, could you describe how it's slowing down? Are games lagging, or are there specific performance issues you're facing? Understanding that will help others suggest improvements.
Sorry for not being clearer! Yeah, games have been lagging a lot, and I'm experiencing crashes and longer load times.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll consider doing that.
