I'm planning to record videos on my phone and use a Blue Yeti for better audio. Since the microphone doesn't record audio internally, what's the easiest way to get its sound into the phone while filming? Do I need a specific USB adapter, and does the answer depend on whether my phone uses USB-C or Lightning?

Another simple option is to record the audio separately on a computer or another device, then sync it with the phone video during editing. Make a loud clap at the beginning so the audio spike and the video are easy to line up. This also avoids compatibility and power problems while filming.
Most Blue Yeti models connect through USB, so you’ll need a phone-compatible USB adapter or OTG cable. For a USB-C phone, that usually means a USB-C OTG adapter or hub. For an iPhone with Lightning, you may need a Lightning-to-USB adapter, sometimes with power connected as well. Check that your phone supports external USB microphones and that the adapter can provide enough power for the Yeti.
