How can I watch YouTube on my LG Smart TV if it’s blocked in my country?

Recently, my country has put a ban on YouTube and other social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. I managed to get around this block on my phone and laptop by changing the DNS settings, but unfortunately, it hasn't worked on my LG WebOS TV. I've tried changing the DNS to various options like 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1, and 8.8.8.8, but every time I open YouTube, I just get a gray screen. Since I don't have a subscription for TV channels and mainly rely on YouTube for content, I really want to find a solution. Can anyone offer some help?

DNS changes typically won’t bypass national blocks. It’s like having a map that tells you how to get to YouTube, but if there’s a roadblock on your way, you can’t reach it. What you might need is a VPN, which creates a secure tunnel to make it look like you're accessing the internet from a different location. This way, you can bypass those restrictions more effectively.

Have you considered just plugging your laptop into the TV? That way, you could use the laptop to stream YouTube directly. It’s not the most convenient option, but it might work until you find a better solution for your TV.
