Hey everyone! Yesterday, while my boyfriend was updating his game, his computer crashed. Now, whenever he tries to log in, it shows a message saying he needs to restart his computer. He's restarted multiple times and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing seems to work. He contacted League of Legends support, but we haven't heard back yet. I really want to help him out since gaming is his hobby and he puts a lot of effort into it. If anyone has advice on how he can fix this, I would really appreciate it—thanks in advance!

This sounds like it might be an issue with the Vanguard anti-cheat software, which is required to run the game. You might want to check if it's running. Before launching the game, go to Task Manager, find 'vgc' under Services, and right-click to start it. That could help resolve the problem.
If nothing else works, he could consider reinstalling Windows. It's a drastic measure but will definitely fix any corrupted files that might be causing the issue.
Thank you!!
He could try running the Command Prompt as an admin and typing 'sfc /scannow' (just without the quotes). This command will scan for any corrupted system files and fix them. It might help with the issue.
Hi! I'll try to!!! Tysm for this
If he has a system restoration point set up, he could use that to revert his PC to a state before the crash. Sometimes this helps when dealing with updates that mess things up.
Thank you for this!!
