I'm a student looking for an affordable way to access a model through an API. Azure offers students $100 in credits, but I'm not sure how to apply those credits to a model provider or deploy a model. I also tried using the student benefits program from another major developer platform, expecting higher free Copilot limits, but I haven't been able to access the features. Any provider recommendations, setup guidance, or student discounts would be appreciated.

Your student credit is attached to an Azure subscription. From there, create a Microsoft Foundry project through the Azure portal, then use the Foundry portal to deploy an available model. It provides an API endpoint and sample code, and you can monitor token usage and costs there. Set a spending limit or budget alert on the subscription so you don’t accidentally go beyond the credit.
I tried Foundry, but deployment failed because my account had no model quota. I couldn’t find a way to use the $100 credit to increase that quota.
