I'm building my first PC and I'm wondering if I should be worried about pairing a Ryzen 9600X with an ASRock B650 motherboard. I snagged a deal for the motherboard and 16GB of RAM for $170, and the 9600X was $185. I hadn't heard about issues with the 9000 series and AsRock boards until recently. From what I've read, it seems to mainly affect the 3D models and primarily with different boards, not specifically the B650. If I update the motherboard's BIOS, will I be fine? Or do you think I should just return the 9600X for a 7600X instead?

The problems seem mostly tied to the 9800X3D. The 9600X and even the 7800X3D should work just fine with your B650 board, so I wouldn't stress too much about it!
I've been using a 9800 on an ASRock 870 board since November, and honestly, I didn't know about any issues until recently, but everything's been running smoothly for me without even updating the BIOS.

I heard the same but just wanted to make sure. Thank you so much!
