How Did My Private Photos Get Publicly Viewed?

I took a picture of a turtle using my Android phone yesterday and didn't share it with anyone. Today, I received a message saying my photo has over 500 views! I've checked all my Google Photos settings, and everything seems to be set to private. Can anyone help me understand what's going on? Thanks!

It’s possible that you accidentally posted it to Google Maps. If you’re signed up as a local guide, sometimes your photos can get auto-shared from certain locations. Check your Maps settings to see if that’s the case. You might find a setting for your profile that’s sharing your pics without you realizing it!

Honestly, once you let Google have access, things can get a bit dicey with privacy. Just keep in mind that even with privacy settings, there might be features that auto-share your content. But that said, check your account settings closely.
