How do I completely remove my email from a Windows 11 laptop before selling it?

I'm planning to sell my laptop to a friend, but I want to make sure my email address is fully removed from it first. I've already deleted my Microsoft account from the laptop, but when I try to access OneDrive, it still autofills my email and doesn't even prompt for a password. Additionally, my email is saved as a profile in Microsoft Edge, and I'm having trouble deleting that profile too. Is there any way to fully erase my email from the laptop?

Consider using another device to sign out of your email. If you change your password from your phone, it should log you out on all devices, including the laptop. Just remember that the account will still be visible, but you can make sure you’re logged out.

Instead of just removing your email, why not create a new user account and then delete your old one? This way, all your info goes with it! It'll help keep your email from popping up unexpectedly for the new owner.

If you're looking to remove everything, utilizing the reset option to delete all data will restore the laptop to factory settings. But if you want to keep the laptop as is, this might not be the best route.

Formatting the hard drive and reinstalling the OS is another option, but I understand you want to keep everything on it. You might just have to manage your profiles better instead.
