I recently played Red Dead Redemption and had an issue with the Alt key not working properly. To fix it, I disabled a setting called "Win button use inside the game" to stop the Windows key from functioning while I was playing. This resolved the issue for that game, but now I'm experiencing problems with my keyboard across other games and on my desktop. The Alt key seems to be inverted with the Win key, and for example, the shortcut Win + E no longer works, but Alt + E does. I'm worried I've messed something up. Can anyone help me restore the original settings?

It sounds like you may have changed some system-level settings when you disabled that toggle in-game. To fix this, try going back to the game settings and re-enable the "Win button use inside the game" option. Also, check your keyboard settings in Windows. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Ease of Access > Make the keyboard easier to use, and make sure nothing looks out of place there.

And if that doesn't help, you might want to plug your keyboard into a different USB port or even restart your computer. Sometimes a fresh start can resolve weird keyboard issues!
