You actually don't need to worry about the Windows key! It's embedded in the BIOS of your HP Elitebook. When you boot from the installation media, it automatically detects the key, so just go ahead and select where you want to install it without any prompts for the key.
What exactly do you mean by installation media? Is it the ISO file from the Microsoft site?
