How Do I Remove a Stuck DisplayPort Connector from My Monitor?

I accidentally plugged a DisplayPort to HDMI connector into my computer and it's now stuck in my monitor. The latch didn't help at all when I tried to remove it, so I ended up pulling it out. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get it out without damaging anything?

It sounds like the latch on your DisplayPort connector may not have functioned properly. Usually, you need to push the button to release the locking mechanism, but if that didn't work, you might need to get creative. One way to mimic that button pressure is to use a small tool that can push the latch mechanism from the side without damaging the connector or monitor. Just be careful!

Yeah, I've had a similar issue before. If you can get to the back of the connector, sometimes gently pushing on the little metal tabs can help free it up. Just be patient and go slow to avoid breaking anything.
