How Do I Set Up Google Sites as My Domain’s Landing Page?

I'm trying to configure my Google Site to be the landing page for my domain, Heminahurry.nyc, but I'm running into some issues. I created the site under a different Gmail account than the one associated with my domain registered at GoDaddy. When I attempted to access certain features, I got a "403. That's an error" message, indicating that I don't have access. I managed to get Google site verification through GoDaddy, but now I'm confused about the DNS settings. I've already updated the name servers, but I'm not sure how to input the DNS records Google provided. Can someone guide me through entering the required fields: type, name, value, and TTL? I really need some help here!

You're definitely not alone; setting up Google Sites can be a bit tricky. Make sure to check if Google provided you with a TXT record as well because that's separate from your CNAME records. That text usually looks like google-site-verification= followed by a string of characters. Containing another CNAME record starting with that text can help verify your site for Google.

You're on the right track! To set up your DNS records on GoDaddy, you typically need to enter three main values: Type, Name, and Value. The Type will usually be CNAME, A, or TXT. Look for a dropdown option when you add a record. The Name is often your domain or a subdomain, and the Value is what Google has provided you. If you're not sure about TTL, you can usually leave that as is since GoDaddy sets it automatically. Good luck! If you're stuck, you can also ask ChatGPT for step-by-step help!
