How Do I Stop Instagram from Auto-Filling the Wrong Email?
Asked by

I've noticed that when I try to sign up for things on Instagram, it automatically fills in my Gmail account, which isn't even linked to my Instagram profile. Instead, it pulls this email from the account that's currently signed into my Android phone. This is really annoying, and I can't figure out how to change it. Does anyone have any tips to fix this issue?

It sounds like your phone's autofill settings are picking up your Gmail from your Android settings. You might want to check your phoneโs autofill settings and disable it or change what email it uses. That should stop Instagram from auto-filling the wrong email!

AndroidExplorer77: Yeah, you can usually find it under your phone's settings, look for the autofill or account section. Just make sure to adjust the settings for the right app!
