I'm a DevOps Engineer focused on building and maintaining AWS infrastructures, using tools like AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and a little bit of Ansible and Linux. I'm looking to apply to Big Tech companies and I realize they often require familiarity with various DevOps tools. Given the wide range of tools in the DevOps field, how do you keep up to date with all the latest developments? It's starting to feel overwhelming!

One way to stay current is to propose using new tools in your current job. You’ll get hands-on experience with them, plus you won’t have to pay for training or resources! It’s a great way to learn and get paid for it at the same time!
I also run a Slack group where we discuss new tools and trends. It keeps me updated! But keep in mind, big tech companies don't always use the latest tools; they tend to run older versions or have custom-built solutions that are unique to them.
