How to Build a Gaming PC on a $500 Budget to Replace a PS5?

I'm helping my two cousins, who are both around 13 years old, transition from their PS5s to a gaming PC. They've been playing together, but we've run into problems with cross-platform compatibility for some games. They want to build a single PC first, sell one of their PS5s to fund the second build later, but we're facing a tight budget of about $500 for the first one, and they can each contribute only $100 right now. We're looking for a system that could eventually be upgraded, as they mainly want to play games like MSFS 2024, Enlisted, and War Thunder. I've considered using a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU and a 3050 GPU, while holding off on RAM for now due to current prices. Any recommendations on how to best navigate this challenge?

Honestly, building a PC with a $500 budget is going to be tough, as it won't really match the performance of a PS5. I recommend checking out used parts if you want to stick to this budget. Also, think about which games you're really going to play - knowing that can help refine your component choices. What titles are on your list?

They want to start with MSFS, a bit of Enlisted and War Thunder, and maybe some casual COD.
