I've been a console gamer since the Xbox 360 and recently grabbed a Steam Deck. The flexibility it offers over traditional consoles has me wanting to take the plunge into building a gaming PC. However, there are two big challenges: I don't know how to build a PC, and I'm unclear about which components I need. I've got a budget of around £2300 (or about $2500), and I'm aiming for at least a 1440p display with a consistent 60fps. If possible, I'd love to push for 4k at 120hz, but I'm not sure if that's achievable within my budget. Should I consider going for a prebuilt system instead?
