How to Connect My PC to a TV Screen?

I'm trying to connect my PC to one of my TVs since I don't have a monitor. I've connected it with an HDMI cable taken from my PlayStation, but there's no display showing up. I've made sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input, yet I still can't get anything to work. I've tried using the Windows key + P shortcut, but it's tough since I can't see what I'm doing on the PC. Is there a way to set this up without having to wait for a monitor to arrive?

Before diving into possible fixes, double-check that the HDMI cable is plugged into the right port on the GPU, not the motherboard. If your motherboard lacks integrated graphics, it won’t display anything. Also, try different HDMI ports on your TV to make sure you’re using the right one. It might be worth trying another HDMI cable just in case this one has issues. I personally run a long HDMI cord from my PC to my living room TV without any trouble, so it should be doable!

If that doesn't help, also check that your RAM sticks are securely in place; it's surprising how often a loose RAM connection can prevent the PC from displaying anything.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll check the RAM next.

Have you verified that the TV input is set to HDMI? Sometimes it’s an easy fix by just switching inputs on the TV remote to match with the correct HDMI port where your PC is connected.

Yeah, I did switch the TV to the correct HDMI after unplugging it from the PlayStation.
