How to Fix Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues on My New PC?

I recently built a new PC and have been struggling to connect it to Wi-Fi. Despite watching numerous tutorials and trying different fixes, I'm still stuck. I believe my motherboard has built-in Wi-Fi since it's a Gigabyte Z890 EAGLE WIFI7, and I've connected the antenna. However, the device manager doesn't show a Wi-Fi adapter, which is frustrating.

I've also attempted to download the necessary drivers but may not be doing it right since I'm not fully familiar with them. Unfortunately, I can't use an Ethernet cable as I'm in a college dorm. Any suggestions to get my PC online?

Check for any yellow warning symbols in the device manager. If your Wi-Fi adapter isn't showing, make sure your BIOS is up to date and the adapter is enabled in the BIOS settings.

If connecting by cable isn't feasible, consider getting a USB Wi-Fi adapter for around $15. It could save you a lot of time and hassle in troubleshooting your built-in Wi-Fi.

I’m using an older MacBook to download drivers onto a flash drive, hoping that works!

If Windows isn’t recognizing a Wi-Fi adapter, look for any unknown devices in the device manager. If everything checks out, then BIOS settings might be your next step. You can access BIOS to ensure your Wi-Fi adapter is enabled.

Make sure the antenna is securely connected, as I missed that last week and it caused similar issues! Sometimes it can be an easy fix, especially with those EZ connect antennas.

I'm pretty sure it’s connected, but I’ll double-check to be safe!

You should try downloading the correct WLAN and Bluetooth drivers directly from the Gigabyte support site. Use a different computer to get the drivers, put them on a USB, and install them on your new PC. If you can, using an Ethernet cable temporarily would help download them directly.

You can also download the drivers to your phone and transfer them via USB-C! That could save some hassle.
