How to Fix Windows 11 Not Booting?

I've been struggling with my Windows 11 installation for over a week now, and I'm feeling pretty desperate. My Windows 11 freezes on the loading screen when I boot it normally, but it works fine in safe mode. Unfortunately, I can't get either mode to work now after a reset failed. So far, I've tried running 'sfc scannow' which didn't show any issues, but using DISM to fix things gives me error 0x800f0915, even when I use the correct Windows ISO. I attempted to reset my PC, but that resulted in an error too. I made a bootable USB with Rufus and the Media Creation Tool, but both methods ended with the installation failing. I've also removed all other drives except the boot one, which seems fine since I can access it on my laptop. In case it's helpful for someone else, I did find a workaround: during the installation from the boot USB, there's a button for 'Previous Version of Setup' which allowed me to reinstall Windows 11 successfully in the end. I also tried using the bootable USB with DISM, but found out it should be install.swm not install.wim.

Before diving deeper, make sure to backup your data. Have you checked your BIOS settings? Sometimes adjusting these can lead to data loss, so be careful. Also, what exact error are you getting when using the Media Creation Tool? That would help in narrowing it down.

Did you recently add any new hardware? If so, that might be causing issues. Also, trying a different USB stick for the bootable installation might help, and don’t forget to check your PC's event logs for any errors. After you get it up and running, consider disabling some startup programs to avoid potential conflicts down the line.
