How to Get My 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Controller Working on Linux?

Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and I'm trying to get my 8bitdo Ultimate 2 controller to work with a 2.4G dongle. I'm currently running ps4linux on a Fedora 37 system with a 5.15 kernel. The controller connects, but it's not recognized when I try to use it in games. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I tried that approach, and unfortunately, it didn’t work for me either. The controller connects, but I can’t control anything with it. I found a different solution you might want to check out here: gist.github.com/ammuench/0dcf14faf4e3b000020992612a2711e2.

You might need to set up some udev rules for your controller. If you're on Arch Linux, there's a script available in the AUR that might make it easier. For Fedora, you can check out the package source code on AUR to do it manually. Here’s a link to the AUR script: aur.archlinux.org/packages/8bitdo-ultimate-controller-udev.
