I recently picked up a Corsair RM850e power supply, but I haven't gotten my new graphics card yet. In the meantime, I want to connect my old GTX 1080 Ti, which has both a 6-pin and an 8-pin power connector. Can someone guide me on how to make this connection?

To connect your GTX 1080 Ti, you’ll want to use one 6-pin PCIe connector along with one 6+2 pin connector. This will give you the necessary power for your card without any issues.
Corsair's website mentions that the RM850e comes with three types of PCIe cables. You should use one of the 6+2 pin connectors and the other 6+2 pin that’s daisy-chained, rather than the 12v2x6 connector. This setup will work perfectly for your GTX 1080 Ti.
