I'm trying to install Fedora on my Mac Mini with an i7 processor. I understand that I need to get the Fedora .iso file onto an external USB drive. Ideally, I would use the Fedora Media Writer to do this, but I'm running into a problem where my Mac OS says I need version 13.0 to install it, even though I'm already on version 15.6 after updating. I've attempted to open it via the terminal, but that didn't work either.
Now, I'm considering heading to the Library to see if I can use the Windows Media Writer to install Fedora instead. Is that a viable option? And does anyone have other suggestions for how to write the OS onto the USB? This is my first time using a Mac Mini, and it was factory reset before I got it. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers!

I faced a similar issue with app downloads on my Mac. It's annoying! If BalenaEtcher isn't working, you could go the terminal route. There are some commands you can use like `dd` to write the .iso to your USB drive. Just be sure to read up on that because it can overwrite your drives if you're not careful. It might take some getting used to, but it’s definitely doable!
That's a weird issue with the Media Writer! You actually don't need it; there are other ways to create a bootable USB. You can manually download the Fedora .iso and then use BalenaEtcher if it's available for your OS version. If that doesn't work, you can also try using the terminal with the right commands to create the bootable drive. Mac’s terminal has commands similar to Linux, so it should be possible! Just make sure to follow a guide to avoid mistakes.
