How to Keep My Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Battery from Charging Over 80%?

I've been using Battery Conservation mode on my Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5, which is supposed to limit the battery charge to 80%, but I'm still noticing that it charges up to 100% when I'm gaming or streaming videos. This happens whether I'm in Balanced/Adaptive mode or Performance Mode. Is there any way to fix this?

The Battery Conservation Mode isnโ€™t a strict limit on the IdeaPad Slim 5. When youโ€™re playing games or streaming, your laptop may demand more power than the charger can provide. To prevent power dips, it sometimes overrides that 80% cap and charges the battery to 100%. This is how Slim and IdeaPad models generally work. Unlike ThinkPads, they donโ€™t enforce the 80% limit strictly. Unfortunately, there isnโ€™t a fix for this behavior.

You mentioned wanting to keep your battery under 100%. Some users consider tweaking BIOS settings. Might it be worth checking those settings to see if you can impose a stricter charge limit? Just a thought since overcharging can stress the battery.
