I recently downloaded an audio file from Dropbox to my iPad 8 (running iOS 17.6.1) and I'm struggling to play it. I tried connecting my iPad to my computer to drag and drop the file into the built-in music player, but when I plugged it into my laptop, nothing happened. After a lot of hassle, I ended up downloading VLC and managed to play the file from the file viewer. It shouldn't have taken me three hours and five different app downloads just to play a CD audio file I own! Any tips on how to easily play audio files on an iPad?

You might want to download the file directly to your iPad’s Files app. It makes accessing audio files way easier!
VLC is indeed incredibly powerful! Once you get the hang of it, you’ll love how versatile it is.
That’s great to hear! But seriously, how do I add files straight into the VLC library so I don’t have to dig through my files every time?
What kind of audio file is it? VLC is a great choice because it can handle almost any audio or video format you throw at it. It’s free and open source too!
Just got VLC working for the audio file, but how can I add it to the VLC library? Also, the file info says it’s a "Windows Media Audio" file (WMA). Any tips on that?
HOW? Any steps on how to do that?
