How to Properly Burn a Music CD for Car Use?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to burn a CD so I can jam out to some music in my car. I made the tracks from a mod called 'piss towel' (I know, kind of cringey, but it's actually pretty cool). The issue is that when I burn the CD, my car doesn't seem to read it. I've tried both MP3 and WAV formats, but they aren't working. I noticed that other CDs that do work in my car use CDA files and don't have folders. What am I doing wrong here?

No need to download new software, just use Windows Media Player! It'll let you create an Audio CD easily. Follow the instructions from Microsoft to burn it correctly, so your car stereo can read it without any issues.

Are you using a CD-R or CD-RW? These types of discs can affect compatibility with CD players. If you're not sure, I can explain the difference!

MusicLover24: I'm not really sure, whatโ€™s the difference between them?

Check out this comparison: the issue might be that you're trying to burn it as a Data CD. A traditional car CD player often requires a standard Audio CD (Red Book format), which is different from the files youโ€™ve been using. Hereโ€™s a guide on how to burn an Audio CD with ImgBurn if you're interested!

TechieGuru99: Yeah, those formats wonโ€™t play in a standard player. Youโ€™ll need to stick to Audio CDs.

Does your car's stereo only support standard CDs? Some players can't read MP3 or WAV files. If itโ€™s one of those, youโ€™ll need to burn it into the format it accepts. Taking a picture of the stereo could help identify the type!

MusicLover24: That might work! Iโ€™ll snap a picture and see if it has any specific labels.
