How to Set Up My 6400MT/s RAM with Ryzen 9600X?

I'm building my first PC with a Ryzen 5 9600X and I've heard that it usually pairs well with 6000MT/s CL30 RAM. However, I found a deal on a 6400MT/s CL32 32GB RAM kit, and I couldn't resist buying it. I've come across some discussions that mention you can adjust the RAM speed in the BIOS for compatibility purposes. Could someone guide me on whether I really need to change the RAM speed in the BIOS for optimal performance? If so, what specific settings should I be looking for? I'd really appreciate any assistance as I'm quite new to this!

Keep in mind that using 6400MT/s might change your MCLK:UCLK ratio to 2:1, which isn't the best for performance. If your RAM kit has a 6000MT/s profile, stick with that one since it will run at a 1:1 ratio and should work perfectly. It might get a bit tricky if that's not an option, but you still have some paths to explore!

When you boot up your PC for the first time, just go into the BIOS and enable the EXPO profile. This profile should automatically adjust your RAM to run at its rated speed of 6400MT/s. If you're not sure how to find it, a quick Google search based on your motherboard model will give you the steps you need. Good luck with your build!
