How to stop my PC from sleeping when I turn off my monitor?

I recently got an Odyssey G9 monitor, and I've noticed that whenever I turn it off, my PC automatically goes to sleep shortly after. This wasn't an issue with my old monitor, so I'm wondering if anyone has tips on how to prevent this from happening.

When I had the G9, I found that using DisplayPort made my PC sleep when the monitor was turned off. Switching to HDMI or getting a new DisplayPort cable solved the problem for me. Might be worth a try!

Have you checked your BIOS settings? There are times when the HDMI cable can trigger sleep mode on the PC once the monitor is turned off. It's worth looking into that to see if it's the case for you.

Thanks! I'll definitely check the BIOS settings.

You usually shouldn't need to manually turn off your monitor like that! If you're not using the computer, it should automatically go to sleep after a set time, which you can adjust in the power plan settings. Ideally, the monitor should go to sleep after the PC does.
